• Adult choir, SATB; may include or have a separate Choro Hispano that is unison and 2-part
• Children's choir, unison and 2-part
• 2 Sopranos, Angel and Mary
• 1-2 Tenors, Jose and First King
• 1-2 Baritones, Inn Keeper and Second King
• 1 Bass, Third King
• Reader
• Optional dancers

• Production Notes

• Scenery may as minimal or elaborate as desired. Stage movement can be adjusted to any setting; no particular wing or entry points are required.
• Costumes are easy to improvise, as production permits.

• Instrumentation:

• Lead guitar
• Piano or keyboard
• Flute
• Bb Trumpet
• Percussion: Small drum, cymbals, castanets, tambourine, small hand bell, optional maracas
• Optional Ensemble guitars

• Music Notes:

• Lyrics include both Spanish and English. Part music is not very difficult.
• Flute and trumpet parts are written at a level for good high school players.
• Lead guitar should be a strong player and accompanist. Ensemble guitars parts may be improvised from the chord symbols. Sample parts are provided for several numbers.
• Guitar and keyboard instrument may be alternated or combined at will. The keyboard is to include the possibility of piano, organ, or electronic keyboard that could simulate a guitar.
